Recent working conditions, speed of technological developments
and changes also management styles; factors such as the working
environment, cooperation, communication that were not considered a hundred years ago and were not even a matter of preference
for the employee, have led to the importance of employee satisfaction and to the foreground. Positive effects of working conditions on
employee motivation and performance are only possible with effective human resources management. Determining the satisfaction
levels of employees regarding human resources practices creates a
preliminary ground for changing and improving the current situation. In this way, it is possible to develop a management approach
suitable for human resources, which is the most valuable and inimitable resource of institutions and businesses. For this reason, in this
study, it is aimed to determine the satisfaction of employees towards
human resources practices.
The aim of this study is to determine employee satisfaction for effective management of human resources, which is essential for institutions and businesses. In the study, a field research was included by
applying a questionnaire to the employees (192 people) determined
by accessible sampling. The prepared questionnaire consists of two
parts. In the first part, after the questions about the demographic
information of the employees, in the second part, their views on the effectiveness of human resources management were dimensioned
as effective human resources management, working environment,
participation in decisions, personal professional development, cooperation and communication, performance management, motivation and job satisfaction. Confirmatory factor analyzes, descriptive
statistics, correlation and regression analyzes were performed on the
research data. SPSS and AMOS package programs were used for these analyses.
According to the findings, it was concluded that the satisfaction
levels of employees regarding human resources management practices, participation in decisions, cooperation and communication,
working environment, motivation and satisfaction, personal professional development and effective human resources management
are medium, and satisfaction levels for the performance evaluation
system are low. Finally, it has been determined that the satisfaction
levels of the employees regarding human resources practices differ
according to their demographic characteristics.
