Özet

The maqam analysis of Bektashi nefes is included in this research. Besides employing descriptive method, documental review has been done in order to be founded and controlled subject of the research. The required data about the subject have been obtained from archive and library as well internet browsing. The population consists of 87 nefes in 27 different maqams notated in 1933 and collected by the "Committee of Classification", Istanbul Conservatory. The sample comprises 6 nefes of Hicaz maqam in 87 nefes. In consequence of the research, it has confirmed that works analyzed have not a vast tessitura and it is used some strains belonging to the first area of maqam. It is seen that, in generally, works have the characteristics of Humayun maqam, a member of Hicaz family. Additionally, Nim Hicaz and Dik Kurdi, the two most important pitches of Hicaz family, is quite often used. Therotically, it has been concluded that Hicaz maqam generally widens from high tone, in one musical piece (No. 135), as distinct from the widening from deep tone by being used Segah trio in Irak.
