Özet

Energy efficiency of agriculture will be achieved from an equilibrated solution of many productive, environmental, and economic issues. The aim of this study a comparative study of the energy consumption. energy efficiency and economic returns of four tillage systems in three years experiment carried out in the area to the Erzurum province, northeast of Turkey. The experimental field has been tilled with four different tillage systems (conventional, two of reduced, no-till tillages) with a vetch production. According to results of the study, the most energy-consuming systems was conventional, the least energy-consuming system was no-till. The energy efficiency coefficient was found to be 5.82 for vetch production in no-till treatments. In terms of energy efficiency, no-till (T-4) subject followed by reduced systems (4.80 - 4.40) and conventional tillage (3.79) subjects respectively. All of the indicators of gross income, net income, benefit-cost ratio and economic efficiency of energy no-till system had more advantageous than conventional and reduced tillage systems.
