The aim of this thesis is to focus on the place of cinema at current art and the relationship of a narrative aspect of cinema with other disciplines. Exploration of this topic is addressed with a two-way perspective; from cinema to visual arts and from visual arts to cinema. All these processes have required a dual centered narration as; before a video art and after a video art examining the discovery and development process of video art.The relationship of cinema with philosophy through the views of postmodern thinkers reveals why is cinema considered as an art discipline and its adventages and opportunities in the context of cinematic language compared to the other disciplines. The expansionist power of cinema as a tool of cultural industry will be examined the understanding and fecilitation of signification of art, artist, period, historical interaction and process of artistic creation.The subject of cinema painting which has been discussed in world literature for the last 50 years and in Turkish sources for the last 20 years will be studied in terms of composition/fiction and real/fiction.This work is expected to make contributtion to both theoretical and artistic studies in both disciplines. In the light of the thesis topic, the study will give tips and useful information about the biographies of painters in the art of painting, painting compositions ,the use of cinema in the current field and stages of artistic narrative and their use in this field.
