Özet

The main purpose of this study is to understand the intersecting effect of transformational leadership and transactional leadership, on organizational commitment of employees in Turkish Presidency. Initially, transformational and transactional leadership, and organizational commitment concepts and its dimensions were theoretically examined. A survey was conducted on 230 people who were working for Turkish Presidency in 2013. This study has found that leaders' transformational and transactional leadership behaviors jointly played sightficant role in organizational commitment of employees. This effect is more significant on contingent reward and active management-by-exception behavior.
