Özet

The standard treatment for chronic hepatitis C infection is the combination of pegylated interferon-alpha (Peg-IFN-alpha) and ribavirin for 48 weeks in patients infected with genotype-1. In genotype-2 or -3 infections, treatment by either conventional IFN-alpha and ribavirin or Peg-IFN-a with or without ribavirin for 24 weeks is recommended. We hereby report two cases of chronic hepatitis C infection whose genotypes are not specified, with sustained virological response despite early discontinuation of antiviral treatment.
