İnsanın doğayla olan tarihsel bağı, 19. yüzyıldaki Sanayi Devrimi’nin etkisiyle bozulmaya başlamış ve bu süreç, hava, toprak ve su kirliliği, iklim değişikliği ile biyolojik çeşitliliğin azalması gibi olumsuz sonuçlar doğurmuştur. 20. yüzyılın sonla- rından iJbaren, performans sanaLnın çevresel akJvizmdeki rolüne odaklanan çalışmalar, bu dönemin çevresel ve sanatsal gelişmelerini kapsamlı bir şekilde ele almışLr. 21. yüzyıla gelindiğinde ise, “eko-performans” terimi sanat praJklerinde yeni bir yönelim olarak ortaya çıkmışLr. Son yıllarda sanaLnda ses kullanan sanatçıların ekolojik sorunlara artan ilgisi, “akusJk ekoloji” adı alLnda yeni bir yaklaşımın doğmasına zemin hazırlamışLr. Bu çalışmada, sanayileşme süreciyle birlikte ortaya çıkan çevresel sorunlar, doğa tahribaL ve ekosistem bozulmasının neden olduğu krizler, tarihsel bir çerçevede ele alınmışLr. Daha sonra, bu sorunların sanat alanındaki yansımaları incelenerek yeni sanat terimleri “eko-performans ve “akusJk eko- loji”nin gelişimi ele alınmışLr. Çalışma kapsamında, eko-performans ve akusJk ekolojinin teorik temelleri ile praJk uygula- maları incelenmiş; bu bağlamda sanatçı örneklerine yer verilerek literatüre katkı sağlanması amaçlanmışLr.
Man’s historical connecFon with nature began to deteriorate under the influence of the Industrial RevoluFon in the 19th century, and this process produced negaFve consequences such as air, soil and water polluFon, climate change and the decrease in biodiversity. Since the end of the 20th century, studies focusing on the role of performance art in environmental acFvism have comprehensively addressed the environmental and arFsFc developments of this period. By the 21st century, the term “eco-performance” has emerged as a new trend in arFsFc pracFces. In recent years, the increasing interest of sound arFsts in ecological problems has paved the way for the emergence of a new approach under the name of “acousFc ecology”. In this study, the environmental problems that emerged with the industrializaFon process, the crises caused by nature dest- rucFon and ecosystem degradaFon are addressed within a historical framework. Then, the reflecFons of these problems in the field of art are examined and the emergence of new art terms are explored. Within the scope of the study, the theoreFcal foundaFons and pracFcal applicaFons of eco-performance and acousFc ecology are examined; In this context, it is aimed to contribute to the literature by giving examples of arFsts.
