© 2022 Archives of Health Science and Research. All rights reserved.Objective: The aim of this research is to examine the ethical sensitivity levels of nursing students and the affecting factors. Material and Methods: The population of the study consists of 1228 nursing students studying at the nursing faculty of a state university in Erzurum. The sample of the study consists of 402 students who accepted to participate in the study, who met the research criteria. The data in the study were collected online using “Descriptive Characteristics Form” and “Ethical Sensitivity Scale Adapted for Student Nurses.” Frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and ANOVA test were used to evaluate the data. Results: Student nurses’ “Interpersonal Orientation” 5,73 ± 0,83, “Ethical Dilemma Experiencing” 3,85 ± 1,27, “Helpfulness” 4,86 ± 0,81, “Ethical Meaning Making” 5,07 ± 0,58, “Modified Autonomy” 4,87 ± 0,90, “Consulting Expert Information”It was calculated as 5,25 ± 0,95. It was determined that the total score average of “Adapted Ethical Sensitivity Scale for Student Nurses” was 4,88 ± 0,66. It was determined that the ethical sensitivity levels of students between the ages of 18 and 19, studying in 1 classroom, and having a daily technological tool usage time of 7 hours or more were higher. Conclusion: It was determined that the nursing students’ ethical sensitivity levels were at a neutral level. Also, it was determined that age, grade level, and duration of daily use of technological devices affect students’ level of ethical sensitivity.
