Abstract:

In this study, recently identified partial metric space term was given, fixed point theorem were investigated for this space. Initially, background information, some essential definitions and theorems were given about fixed point theorem. Definition of partial metric spaces, examples for this spaces and some properties of partial metric spaces have been given. Some topological concepts and definitions were generalized to partial metric spaces. Also definition of complete partial metric spaces were given and the fixed points of contraction mappings on partial metric spaces were examined.
