Abstract:Aim: The research was conducted to assess the perception of obstetric violence and childbirth trauma in women who gave undergone vaginal delivery. Material and Method: The research was conducted as a descriptive study. The research was conducted with 300 puerperal women (150 primiparous, 150 multiparous) who applied to Ağrı Training and Research Hospital in the city center affiliated with Ağrı Provincial Health Directorate between December 2023 and December 2024. The research data were collected through face-to-face interviews using the Personal Information Form, the obstetric violence perception scale, and the Birth-Related Trauma Perception Scale (BRTPS). In the evaluation of the data, frequency, percentage, mean, t-test, analysis of variance, and Pearson correlation analysis were used. Results: There is a statistically significant, positive, and weak relationship between the subscale scores of pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, labor, and postpartum, and the total score of the obstetric violence perception scale and the total score of the Birth-Related Trauma Perception Scale (p<0.05). Conclusion: As the likelihood of puerperal women experiencing obstetric violence increases, their trauma related to childbirth also increases.
