The Effect of Mind Mapping Technique on The Reading Skills and Reading Attitudes of the Secondary 6th Grade Students

Purpose: The aim of this study is to examine the reading skills of 6th grade students in Turkish Courses and to determine whether Mind Mapping Technique has an effect on the attitudes towards reading.

Method: In this study,Experimental Research was realized by interrupting the study.In the first stage,pre-research input skills were determined by applying the coverings to the subjects.In the second stage,the effects of the research were examined by applying the post test in the final stage.

Findings: It was seen that the traditional method of teaching applied to students’reading skills and Mind Mapping Technique contributed to the contribution of the students.According to the other result obtained from the search,the Mapping Technique and the attitude of traditional technique reading effect positively.In the experimental group,it was observed that the rate of stiffness was higher in the experimental group compared to the behaviors observed in civilization.

Results: When we look at the pretest and posttest of the experimental and control groups,we see a general shot.However,in the experimental group where Mind Mapping Technique was used ,the increase in success rate is higher than the success rate in the control group.The Mind Mapping Technique reflects reading skills,reading attitudes and behaviors exhibited during the course are positive.
