Abstract:

Objective: In this study; It is aimed to examine the hormonal and biochemical parameters of female athletes in different sports branches at rest. Materials and Methods: The study included women with football, handball, volleyball and a sedentary lifestyle that did not do any sports and who had similar sociodemographic characteristics. A total of 60 people were included in the study, each group consisting of 15 people. While Tiroid Sitimulan Hormon (TSH), Luteinizan Hormon (LH), Follicle Stimulating Hormon (FSH), Estradiol (E2), Growth (GH), progesterone and testosterone hormones were examined in the blood hormone levels section of women, glucose, urea, creatine, Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR), albumin, uric acid, total calcium, phosphorus, sodium and potassium levels were examined in biochemistry values. Results: Since the study provides parametric test assumptions, one-way analysis of variance was used to compare hormone values between groups. FSH and testosterone levels were found to be significantly higher than women in the sedentary group. (p<0.05). This facility is not statistically significant, even hıgher the FSH and testesterone levels of the football group ıs hıgher than the handball and volleyball groups. No statistically significant difference was found between the other hormone and biochemical test results evaluated within the scope of the study (p> 0.05). Conclusıon: It was determined that serum testosterone and FSH levels were higher in female soccer players than in sedentary women. The results of this research; reveals that football may cause changes on some hormones in women and that these hormones should be monitored at regular intervals in order not to affect the overall health negatively.
