Reclamation in the Wielkopolska Voivodeship areas are being transformed according to the PAN- model into new productive space. Due to reclamation activities a new parent materials (overburden rocks) undergo physical, chemical and morphological changes and finally convert them into Spolic Technosols during 10-year-period. Depending on the crop species, after 10 years of agricultural reclamation, the yield obtained was 24-100% of the average yield of a given crop in Wielkopolska, respectively. Both analyses of the soil texture and mineralogical composition proved that a new created soil may be better than the soils present in these areas before coal exploitation. Before mining operation dominate soil texture was loamy sand (acidic pH) and now is a sandy loam. Additionally previously the main clay mineral in soils was kolinite and in the new formed soils are smectite and illite. Also kaolinite, chlorite, calcite are found.
