Proje Özeti

The project, entitled "Honey, Bees, and Quality: Food Safety Starts Locally," an initiative that aims to establish the beekeeping potential in the Hınıs district and surrounding villages of Erzurum province within a scientific framework, is a multi-dimensional initiative targeting the optimisation of local production through modern techniques. In the context of this project, the presentation content encompassed the significance of quality standards for the physical, chemical, and biological characteristics of honey produced in the region. Additionally, it addressed value-adding processes, including the registration of geographical indications. The fundamental theme of this social awareness initiative is predicated upon an educationfocused capacity development strategy, which incorporates social and ecological dimensions. Whilst the provision of practical training to local apiculture practitioners is intended to disseminate contemporary techniques and to protect biological diversity, the symbiotic relationship between bee health and the ecosystem has been examined with academic rigour. The socio-economic impact analyses conducted at the conclusion of the study have established a scientific reference point for local development models by revealing the project's implications for regional welfare with quantitative and qualitative data. This holistic approach has provided a comprehensive perspective on how ecological balance can be preserved and economic efficiency simultaneously enhanced.
