The huge increase in the world
population and urbanization lead to environmental problems. Farming is the
oldest and most important occupation. It has been vital since the first humans.
It has aimed at constant innovation and development and as a source of income.
Livestock farming is a branch of agriculture. It covers the care, feeding, and
breeding of animals. They are useful to humans for their products and powers.
We should check the policies Turkey implemented to solve the livestock sector's
problems. We should see how well they fit our current potential.
We should also check the supports
they implemented. In this context, we should expand agricultural and livestock
education in rural areas. In this project, the aim is to first develop
scientific and field skills. It will also develop the knowledge and skills of
Veterinary Medicine students. They will learn about animal husbandry in Hınıs
district from a social perspective. We met the farmers in person at a barn near
the Hınıs district. We told them about the topics of the veterinary medicine
field for the project program. The stakeholders held a meeting. They met to
discuss the role of livestock farming in the local economy and business. They
talked about the job market. They also talked about the future of livestock
farming. It was a mutual exchange of ideas. During and after the meeting, the
farmers and the vet tech students of Hınıs Vocational School answered the
questions.
