Project Abstract

The birth of calves from cattle is very important for the future and sustainability of our country's animal husbandry. The causes of infertility in cows are very diverse. These include hereditary, functional (anoestrus, suboestrus, cysts), contagious or non-contagious infectious diseases, care and feeding disorders. Nowadays, it is noteworthy that some cows fail to conceive despite numerous inseminations due to the above-mentioned reasons. In this multidisciplinary study, a minimum of 300 infertile cows from Aziziye, Aşkale, Horasan, Hınıs, Karayazı, Karaçoban, Köprüköy, Narman, Pasinler, Tortum, Yakutiye, Çat and Şenkaya districts of Erzurum province were examined for cystic ovaries by ultrasonographic examination with 95% confidence interval, In addition to the diagnosis of congenital or administrative causes of infertility such as fremartinismus, cell counting will be performed by smear test with pathological methods from endometrial cytology samples, Campylobacteriosis, Leptospirosis, Salmonellosis, Listeriosis, Chlamydiosis, Histophilus somni agents will be examined by 16S rDNA analysis from microbiological samples taken from whole blood and intrauterine catheter. With real time PCR; Toxoplasma gondii, Chlamydia abortus, Leptospira spp., bluetongue, Neospora caninum, Akabane, BVD, Tritrichomonas foetus, IBR, SBV, BEF, Aspergillus spp., Candidia sp. agents will be analyzed. Serologically, BVD, akabane, bluidil, Bovine herpesvirus-1, Bovine herpesvirus-4, Schmallenberg, Neospora caninum will be analyzed by ELISA. During the visits to the enterprises, questionnaire questions will be asked to the animal owners to strengthen the anamnesis. The presence of these mentioned causes in infertility cases will be investigated. In the study, samples will be taken from cows in cattle holdings that have not become pregnant despite insemination at least 2 times.
