Özet

The influence of different concentrations of Zn2+ Se4+ and Ca2+ on the genotoxicity of cadmium in root cells of rye (Secale cereale) was studied. The results showed that 10(-3)M to 10(-5) M of Cd2+ ions caused a decrease in mitotic index and an increase in chromosomal aberrations. But a simultaneous treatment with 10(-2) M to 10(-6) M Ca2+, Zn2+ and Se4+ together with Cd2+ caused a decrease in frequency of chromosomal aberration and an increase in mitotic index. This effect of Ca2+, Zn2+ and Se4+ on Cd2+ genotoxicity was related to their concentration ratios.
