Özet
The microbiota—the ecosystem of bacteria, archaea, viruses, fungi, and protozoa—is crucial to human health and disease progression. Intestinal flora is crucial for digestion, metabolism, and immunity. Some microbial species have declined due to environmental changes and modern lifestyles. Missing microorganisms disrupt microbial diversity and ecological balance, increasing disease risk. This chapter covers microbiome dynamics, taxa loss, metabolic balance, and immunity. The way in which probiotics, prebiotics, and nutrition can restore lost taxa is examined. Restoring taxonomic diversity is assessed with probiotic, prebiotic, and diet-focused treatments. Metagenomics and metatranscriptomics advance microbiota research and targeted microbiome restoration. Protecting microbial diversity and developing sustainable health solutions requires understanding these interactions.
