Abstract

An iteration process is introduced and necesary and sufficient condition is given to approximate common fixed points of two finite families if continuous pseudocontractive mappings defined on a nonempty closed convex subset of a real Banach space. Also, strong and weak convergence theorems or two finite families of strictly pseudocontractive mappings of Browder-Petryshyn type are obtained. The results presented extend and improve the corresponding results in literature.
