Özet

The toxicity of diet containing aqueous extract of Nerium oleander leaves and its latex at different concentrations was determined. We found out that continuous feeding with oleander extracts during the metamorphosis (approximate to 9-10 days) affects the protein level in D. melanogaster. Extracts of N. oleander and its latex caused a significant reduction (P < 0.05) in protein level in the offsprings of treated parental generation. The ranking of toxicity of the three extracts was latex > unboiled extract > boiled extract.
