Lixus davidiani sp. nov. is described from Aras Valley in Nahcivan (Azerbaijan) and northeastern Turkey. Adults were collected on Lythrum salicaria L. (Lythraceae) in northeastern Turkey. It was observed that females laid eggs in stem. The new species is assigned to the Lixus iridis species-group in the subgenus Eulixus Reitter, 1916, compared with related species, and morphological characters are presented.
