Özet

This study was conducted to determine the effect of chemical control performed in different heights of alfalfa plant against alfalfa weevil, Hypera postica (Gyllenhal, 1813) (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) in alfalfa field on yield of wet grass. The most suitable plant height was ascertained by performing pest controlat the plant heights of 5, 10, 15 and 25 cm, As a result of the studies, the average number of larvae in the parcels were respectively counted per plant. the average weight of the alfalfa (wet grass) of the control parcel was recorded as 763.75 kg da-1. After the studied alfalfa fields were exposed to insecticide, averages of the alfalfa (wet grass) weight per decare were found as 1213.43, 880.50, 889.19, 802.38 and 763.75 kg da-1 at the plant heights of 5, 10, 15 and 25 cm, respectively.
