International Conference on Environmentally Friendly Fruit Growing, Tartu, Estonya, 7 - 09 Eylül 2005, ss.90-97
The study aimed at assessment of effects of foliar application of bacteria Bacillus OSU-142, Burkholdria OSU-7 and Pseudomonas BA-8 on yield, growth, PNE contents and control of diseases (shot-hole and brown rot) of apricot was carried out in Malatya province of Turkey in the years 2000-2003. The field experiments were conducted on 10- and 13-year-old 'Hacihaliloglu' apricot trees. Trees were sprayed with suspensions of bacteria reported as growth promoting and bio-control agents. Bacillus OSU-142 showed a capacity to increase yield and improve fruit quality by reducing incidence of shot-hole disease and severity. Bacillus OSU-142, Burkholdria OSU-7 and Pseudomonas BA-8 reduced the incidence of brown-rot disease in apricot. Application of bacteria resulted in an increase of leaf N, P, K, Ca and Mg contents.
