Özet

The COVID-19 disease or the SARS-CoV-2 virus, a member of the coronavirus family that has spread to many countries around the world in a short time, is a highly contagious global health problem that has been declared as a pandemic. The COVID-19 outbreak has caused significant losses across the globe and in Turkey. Currently, there are no specific treatments for the COVID-19 disease, which manifests with a variety of risk factors and non-specific symptoms. Thus, health care professionals play the biggest role in fighting against this disease. Among the health care professionals, nurses are at the forefront in the field to ensure that the patient overcomes the COVID-19 process with minimal losses and in the most accurate way to reach healthier days through their devoted work and planned nursing care. This review aims to guide nurses in the care of the patients diagnosed with COVID-19.
