Özet

In this study, the fertility parameters of dairy cows in a herd with or without postparturient problems were investigated. The fertility parameters of 168 cows in 4- and 6-year-old age groups from the Bursa/Karacabey Doganci Farm during 1999 and 2000 were studied. Data were obtained from 78 healthy cows and 90 cows having one or more problem parameters (e.g., dystocia and hypocalcemia) related to calving-first service interval and the number of services were examined. Calving-first service interval for 4- and 6-year-old healthy cows was 83.29 and 73.62 days, respectively, while it rose to 182.33 days for 4-year-old cows, with dystocia and 173.25 days for 6-year-old cows with ovarian cysts. Calving-last service intervals for 4- and 6-year-old healthy cows were 95.407 and 83.294 days, respectively, while they rose to 273 and 328 days for 4-year-old cows with necrotic vulvovaginitis and 6-year-old cows which had undergone cesarian section, respectively. First-last service interval for 4- and 6-year-old healthy cows were 18.74 and 30.941 days, respectively, while it was 166 days for 4-year-old cows with necrotic vulvovaginitis and 206.5 days for 6-year-old cows which had undergone cesarian section. The number of services was 1.518 and 1.313 for 4- and 6-year-old healthy cows, while it was 3 for 4-year-old cows with necrotic vulvovaginitis and 3.5 for 6-year-old cows with hypocalcemia. In conclusion, it was determined that calving-first service interval, calving-last service interval, first-last service interval and number of services increase in cows with problems.
