The Timing and Variability Research in Astrophysics (TAVRA) research group conducts interdisciplinary studies on the timing and brightness variations of variable astrophysical sources in the Universe. The main interests of the group include time series analyses of dynamical structures such as double star systems, exoplanet systems and active galactic nuclei (AGN). In this context, both the analysis of observational data and the development of theoretical models compatible with these data are among the primary research goals.

The research team consists of researchers and graduate students from different universities and analyses the data obtained from multi-wavelength observations with advanced statistical and numerical methods. TAVRA focuses on the detection of exoplanets using the timing method, characterisation of short- and long-term variations in blazars and quasars, and the physical background of variability mechanisms. These studies are supported by collaborations with national and international observatories and aim to make new contributions to the world of science.
