Yilmaz Research Group

We basically aim to understand and control the synthesis of nanostructures in a well-controlled manner in terms of chemical content, size, shape, and crystal structure. This research requires the integration of chemical procedures, theoretical modeling, and detailed characterization methods. This effort results in the emergence of various metallic, organic, and semiconductor nanomaterials with unique optical, electronic, catalytic, and magnetic properties. We would like to create novel approaches for the large-scale production of nanomaterials with extraordinary properties for different applications including biomedical research, optical sensing, photonics, catalysis, and electronics.

We are open to making collaborations with colleagues around the globe. Also, we are looking for highly motivated students and scholars to join us.
