Teknolojik gelişmeler
ışığında sosyal medya ve sosyal ağlar insanların hayatında vazgeçilmez bir hal
almaktadır. Bu yeni iletişim olanaklarıyla insanlar arasındaki iletişimin yönü
değişmektedir. Günlük yaşama etki eden bu gelişmeler, insanların güvenli ve
saklı olması gereken ilişkilerini kendilerini teşhir eden ve aleni ilişkiler
yaşayan bir platforma dönüştürmektedir. Bu nedenle sosyal medyada ve
dijitalleşen çağda mahremiyet olgusu değişmektedir. Bu bağlamda çalışmada
gözetlenen toplumdan gözetleyen ve mahremiyet alanlarının kamuya taşındığı ve
mahrem algısının değişimi panoptikon ve dijital gözetim üzerinden ele
alınmıştır. Çalışmanın analiz kısmında ise dijitalleşen dünyanın gözetim
toplumuna etkilerini ele alan The Circle filmi eleştirel söylem analizi yöntemi
ile incelenmektedir
In the light of technological developments, social
media and networks are becoming indispensable for people's lives. With these
new communication possibilities, the direction of communication between people
is changing. These developments, which affect daily life, transform people's
relationships, which should be safe and hidden, into a platform that exposes
themselves and has open relationships. For this reason, the phenomenon of
privacy is changing in social media and in the digitalizing age. In this
context, in this study, the shift of the spying and privacy areas from the
surveilled society to the public and the change in the perception of privacy are
discussed through panopticon and digital surveillance. In the analysis part of the study, The Circle
movie, which deals with the effects of the digitalized world on the
surveillance society, is examined with the method of critical discourse analysis.
