Özet

In the present paper, an experimental investigation was performed to characterise the convective heat transfer of the jet, issuing from along tube, impinging at a different oblique angles on a Rat surface maintained at constant temperature. The temperature on the impingement prate was measured using a thermochromic liquid crystal. The local heat transfer coefficients on the surface were obtained using transient method. The result indicate that the maximum heat transfer occurred at the point displaced from the geometric stagnation point At the stagnation point, it was observed that the local Nusselt number decreases with decreasing jet inclination angles. For the 45 deg. and H/D=14, it was found that the stagnation point Nusseit number reduced 22 percent compared with that of the normal jet. In the paper, the variation of the local Nusselt numbers with the depending parameters was presented and the empirical relation concerning the local Nusselt number was given.
