HITIT THEOLOGY JOURNAL, cilt.22, sa.1, ss.501-510, 2023 (ESCI)
In this study, we examine the book written by Reyhan Keles, which is about the mi'raj (works dealing with the ascension of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to the heavens). Mi'rajiyyas are among the religious genres within the scope of Turkish Islamic literature. Although Turkish Islamic literature is a vast field of study, the author restricts her study to diwan poetry (Ottoman Poetry) and eulogy poetry. The subject of mi'raj (ascension) has been written in several types of poetry and even prose works, and the author's focus and investigation on it both as a religious-literary genre and eulogy poetry enables a thorough investigation of the entire topic. The number of its pages adds up to 725, therefore it is rather a comprehensive work, which offers the interested researchers a significant contribution.
