Abdominal compartment syndromes (ACS) are generally known as organ failures that develop secondary to elevated intraabdominal pressure. Our aim in this study was to investigate the effects of elevated intraabdominal pressure on serum cortisol, aldosterone and creatinine levels, and on central venous pressure (CVP). For this purpose, 40 patients who applied to our clinics for abdominal complaints, with subsequent diagnosis of intraabdominal pressure elevations, were investigated.
