Özet

Bu çalışmada, son yılların en popüler konularından olan, siyasi, ekonomik, kültürel, sosyolojik ve teknolojik boyutuyla devletleri, toplumları ve örgütleri etkileyen küreselleşme olgusuyla, bilgi merkezlerinin bu olgudan nasıl etkilendiği hususu değerlendirilmektedir. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, toplumsal ve bireysel bilgilenmeye ve öğrenmeye, sahip oldukları enformasyon kaynaklarıyla katkı sağlayan bilgi merkezlerinin, küreselleşme karşısındaki tutumları ve küreselleşmeden ne oranda etkilendikleri konusunu ele almaktır. Çalışmada betimleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Yanıtı aranan sorular ise, küreselleşmenin ne olduğu ve bilgi merkezlerinin küreselleşmeden nasıl etkilendiği şeklindedir. Çalışmanın sonucunda küreselleşmenin tüm toplumları az ya da çok etkilediği ve bilgi merkezlerinin değişimine ve yeniden yapılanmasına neden olduğu görülmüştür. 

In this study, the concept of globalism, one of the most popular subjects that affect states, societies and organizations with its political, economic, cultural, sociologic and technologic dimensions, and how information centers have been affected by this concept are evaluated. The basic purpose of this study is to deal with the manners of conduct of information centers, which contribute to the social and personal informing and learning by means of their information resources, and how they are affected by globalism. Description method is used in the study. The questions whose answers are looked for are as following: what globalism and how the information centers are affected by the globalism. In the conclusion of the study, it is seen that globalism affects all societies more or less and it causes information centers to change and restructure.
