Chrysis valida Mocsary was observed for the first time to be a cleptoparasitoid of Gymnomerus laevipes (Shuckard), as well as a new species of the Turkish. Nests constructed by G laevipes were described from locations on creek banks approximately a meter above the base. G laevipes makes thimble-shaped cells of clay, which are seated one a top the other, or side by side and built as a horizontal stem. The size of the nests is ranged from 11-14.5 (13.2 average) mm in length and 7.5-9 (8.6 average) mm in diameter.
