INTRODUCTION Although toxoplasmosis is common in the world, it is usually asymptomatic in healthy
individuals and is a parasite that can lead to fatal encephalitis, pneumonia and pericarditis in
immunosuppressives(1). PURPOSE The aim of this study was to draw attention to cerebral toxoplasmosis in
HIV (-) patient who had been diagnosed with Chronic Renal Failure (CRF) for 5 years and followed up in the
routine dialysis program. CASE A 46-year-old male patient who was hospitalized with nausea, blurring of
consciousness and rash in the nephrology clinic was admitted to the anesthesia intensive care unit due to
regression and seizure. The patient with respiratory distress was intubated and mechanical ventilator support
was provided. Anti-HIV (-), Tox IgG (+) and Tox IgM (-) values were determined in laboratory values. The patient
