In this study, a metasurface-based microwave polarization converter, which performs
linear polarization conversion at 4.66 GHz and 7.64 GHz bandwidths, is proposed
for microwave C band applications. The proposed design consists of three parts with
metal termination, substrate and metasurface. The proposed design is capable of
reflecting an electromagnetic wave with y polarized electric field intensity as x
polarized. The proposed design achieves linear to linear polarization conversion with
a polarization conversion ratio of over %90 in the 4.66 GHz and 7.64 GHz
bandwidths. It also has PCR performance over %80 up to 45 degrees under oblique
incidence. The design was designed and simulated with the CST microwave
simulation program.
