Introduction: Parents of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) may have difficulties in having sufficient opportunities to provide verbal and non-verbal language input to their children due to the challenging features and limited interests in social interaction and communication. The purpose of this study was to longitudinally examine how the mothers responded to their nonverbal preschool children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) regarding their children's object/action engagement and communicative actions.
