The objective of this study was to determine the effects of thinning by NAA and hand on thinning rate and some of the fruit characteristics in apricot. The fruit thinning rate and the fruit characteristics varied depending on the cultivars and concentrations. Thinning percentage increased in accordance with NAA doses. The effect of hand thinning was similar to that of NAA. All treatments significantly increased fruit weight, volume, and dry matter content. NAA was more effective in Hacihaliloglu cv. than in Hasanbey cv.
