Özet

Synthesis methods of quantum dots, which have been used a lot in recent years, are also of great importance. In this study, the production of CdS particles using Viridibacillus arenosi K64 isolate was investigated with an environmentally friendly, economical, reliable, and controlled biosynthesis method. In the selection of bacteria for biosynthesis, it has been taken into attention that it can preserve its viability up to 3 days even at high doses in the trials made in special buffer solution. In this way, an ideal condition where the bacteria can operate optimally has been prepared, and the suitable bacterial isolate and medium for the formation of particles have been determined. Biologically synthesized quantum dots (QDs) have been characterized using various analytical methods that are UV-Vis-NIR spectrophotometer and spectrofluorometer for absorbance and emission analysis; dynamic light scattering (DLS)-Zetasizer, energy-dispersive X-rays (EDX), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XRS), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) for structural analysis; and scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM) for morphological features.
