Özet

Vascular involvement in Behcet's disease (BD) can include both arteries and veins. Arterial aneurysms in BD have been seen most commonly at the abdominal aorta and femoral arteries. During a seven-year period, 7 aneurysms in 5 patients were surgically treated in the authors' department. Arteriography was performed in the first 2 patients for diagnosis. Pseudoaneurysms occurred at puncture sites in these patients. All patients were treated surgically with saphenous or polytetrafluoroethylene grafts. One patient died of rupture of an abdominal aortic aneurysm. Another patient had above-knee amputation because of the graft's pseudoaneurysm, late septic embolus, and necrosis of the extremity.
