title compound, C23H18N4OS, the indole and benzothiazole ring systems are both approximately planar, with dihedral angles between the fused five- and six-membered rings of 1.16 (7) and 8.71 (5)degrees, respectively. The phenyl ring forms a dihedral angle of 43.43 (6)degrees with the indole ring system.
