Özet

Coexistence of malignant melanoma and renal cell cancer (RCC) is a rare phenomenon, but this issue becomes increasingly popular. The objective of the current study is to present a case with coexistent anorectal melanoma (ANM) and papillary RCC detected. A 61-year-old female admitted to our clinic with complaints of blood in the stool. ANM diagnosed with colonoscopic biopsy and a mass lession with a size of 57 mm x 53 mm suggesting RCC was detected in the left kidney during staging procedure. Transabdominal resection and radical nephrectomy were performed and diagnoses of ANM and papillary RCC were confirmed. Adjuvant radiotherapy was applied for ANM. The patient is still under follow-up for 6 months and no recurrence or progression was detected. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of this interesting coexistency.
