TAGRA 2025: 2nd International Congress on Trends and Advances in Global Research and Applications, Erzurum, Türkiye, 13 - 14 Aralık 2025, ss.255-273, (Tam Metin Bildiri)
This study examined public perception
of artificial intelligence across Türkiye using open-access data from the 2024
Turkish General Social Survey (TGSS). To this end, the increasing role of
artificial intelligence in every field was addressed, and studies on artificial
intelligence perception across the country were reviewed. In this context, the
analysis and presentation of the data used with a large sample distinguishes
the study from other studies. The study then provides information about the
participants, dependent, and independent variables, utilizing the TGSS platform
and the Veri Analiz Okulu (Data Analysis School) lecture notes where the data
is shared. To evaluate the results, firstly frequency and percentage
distributions were analyzed, then variance analysis, chi-square analysis,
t-test, post hoc, and Tukey tests were conducted to examine how perceptions of
artificial intelligence varied across independent variables and whether
significant differences emerged. Based on the results, the general trend in
perceptions of artificial intelligence and its differences across independent
variables were interpreted. Accordingly, significant differences in perceptions
of artificial intelligence were observed across demographic variables. Finally,
suggestions were made to address these differences and for future studies.
