Özet

The use of industrial wastes and by-products in cementitious composites has been investigated for many years in terms of sustainability. Among these industrial wastes, the effects of materials such as blast furnace slag, silica fume and fly ash on the mechanical and durability of cementitious composites have been determined to a significant extent. However, more studies are needed on the effect of using ferrochrome slag, another by-product. Recently, the use of ferrochrome slag, especially as concrete aggregate, has attracted attention, and its replacement with cement needs to be investigated in detail. In this study, the properties of cement paste containing ferrochrome slag displaced by cement at 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% were investigated. In terms of mechanical properties, short and long term (7, 28, and 90 days) compressive and flexural strengths were determined. In addition, mass loss and mechanical properties of the paste have been reported after high temperature, which has a significant effect on the cement paste.
