Synthesis of compounds including isoxazoline and pyrazoline units derivatives from norbornadiene and their antibacterial and anti-quorum sensing properties

Özet
Six monoadducts two of which were new having isoxazoline or pyrazoline rings were synthesized from norbornadiene by 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition. Four new diadducts products were obtained from the reactions of excess 4-methoxybenzaldoxime, 4-bromobenzaldoxime and 2,3-dimethoxyphenyl oxime with norbornadiene. Five new diadducts also having a pyridazine ring, were synthesized from the addition reactions of mono adducts with 6-di(2-pyridyl)-s tetrazine. According to the antibacterial activity results, all compounds tested exhibited antibacterial activity against the test bacteria at varying rates. Based on the results obtained, it was determined that seven compounds in particular (9, 10, 13, 14, 17, 19, and 20) exhibited anti-quorum sensing activity over 80% at different substance concentrations. The antibacterial and anti-quorum sensing activity of these compounds is a promising feature in terms of their potential use against unwanted microorganisms.
