Özet

In recent years, the exploration for alternative energy sources has gained importance in order to meet the increasing energy need with the technological developments in the world. Molybdenum trioxide (MoO3), a wide-band gap n-type semiconductor, contains a variety of attractive chemical and opto-electrical properties. In this study, MoO3 nanostructures were synthesized on the fluorine doped tin oxide (FTO) coated glass by using electrochemical deposition technique. XRD, SEM and UV-VIS analysis were performed for the structural and morphological characterization of the as-synthesized nanostructures. The photovoltaic properties of the characterized electrodes were investigated by electrochemical method under 100 mW.cm-2 visible light illumination to be used as photoelectrodes in photovoltaic cells.
