The photopeak efficiency of a Si(Li) detector was determined experimentally for 3-723 keV photon energy by using liquid radioisotopes Cr-51, Ga-67, Tc-99, In-111, I-131, Tl-201 and polyester coated radioisotopes Fe-55, Cs-137, Ba-133, Am-241. The efficiency for gamma- and X-rays emitted in the decay of the radioactive sources was obtained from measurements. The efficiency values were established at 49 energies ranging from about 3 to 723 keV. The experimental values were fitted to an analytical function of photon energy and an agreement was observed for the entire range of the studied energies.
