All rights reserved.Introduction and Purpose: In this study, it was aimed to examine the effects of 6-week strength and isometric strength training applied during the preliminary preparation period for balance, anaerobic power, agility and sprint performance values on national cross country athletes. Method: 17 athletes between the ages of 18-24 who are still in the national cross country teams of Turkey participated in the study. Anaerobic power, agility, speed and balance performance values of the athletes participating in the study were measured. Findings: It was determined that there is a statistically significant difference between the pretest-posttest mean scores of the participants in the wingate anaerobic power test, 30m speed, agility, static right, static left and static double leg balance and dynamic right, dynamic left and dynamic double leg balance. (p< .05) Result: As a result of the study, it can be claimed that strength trainings applied in the preliminary preparation period in national crossers improve anaerobic power, static and dynamic balance, sprint and agility performance values.
