Özet

SeO2-catalyzed direct hydroxylatlon of 1,4-cyclohexadiene with two molar equivalents of 30% H2O2 afforded (+/-)-1,4/2,5-cyclohexanetetrol, a naturally occurring cyclitol derivative, as the sole product in a good yield (88%). (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
