The primary focus of this research is to examine the evaluation of the Palestine-Israel
conflict in Turkish foreign policy under the administration of the AKP (Justice and
Development Party). The government of Turkiye has sought to play an important role as a
mediator in the Palestine-Israel conflict and has endeavored to enhance political and economic
initiatives in pursuit of a peaceful resolution for both sides. However, events such as the 2008
Gaza War, the 2009 Davos incident, the Low chair incident, and the 2010 Mavi Marmara
incident have led to a shift in Turkiye's foreign policy against Israel, causing a diplomatic
impasse between the two countries. Recently, the Turkish government has tried to reconcile the
strained relations between the two sides. Both President Erdogan and Prime Minister Netanyahu
met at the Turkish house in New York in 2023 intending to rejuvenate diplomatic ties. However,
with the outbreak of violence in the Aqsa region on October 7, 2023, Israel has once again
initiated a violent crackdown, disregarding the lives of children, women, and the elderly. As a
result, the relations between Turkey and Israel have deteriorated once more. This study employs
a constructivist approach to delve into and analyze the Turkish Government's stance on the
Palestinian cause from 2002 to the present.
