Özet

Using public swimming pools for recreational activities, rehabilitative treatment or sport is growing worldwide. Reliable and hygienic swimming pools are very important for the development of people's swimming habits. In this study, the current situation in terms of swimming pool water quality was determined in all public and private indoor swimming pools used for recreational purposes in Erzurum, Turkey and it was aimed to contribute to the elimination of the deficiencies in practice. Total alkalinity, temperature, combined chlorine, ammonia, nitrate and color values are varied between 30-140 mg/L, 26-28 degrees C, 0,05-0,2 mg/L, 0,08-0,40 mg/L, 2,12-18,27 mg/L, 1-10 Pt/Co, respectively, and nitrite value was <0,0325 mg/L. All these parameters were within the standard limit value. pH, free chlorine, turbidity, total jerm count, total coliform bacteria, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa values are varied between 6,56-8,16, 0,15-0,40 mg/L, 0,06-0,70 NTU, 0-500 CFU/ml, 0-270 CFU/100 ml, 0-170 CFU/100 ml and 0-100 CFU/100 ml and 7%, 33%, 3%, 33%, 33%, 13% and 33% of this parameter values were not in the standard limit value, respectively. Generally, all swimming pools which were examined complied with the regulations in terms of chemical parameters, but microbiological pollution was detected depending on the user of the swimming pool.
